The document is directed at ensuring competiveness of the Uzbek cotton fiber at global cotton markets, taking into account recommendations of foreign consumers to external appearance and packaging cotton-fiber bales.

The resolution was adopt decision on reorganization “Mustaqil O’zbekistonning 5 yilligi nomli Yangiyul pakhta tozalash zavodi” through merging “Chinoz pakhta tozalash zavodi”. The government will keep 51% stake in the company and hand over its share to Tashkentpakhtatozalash.

On the base of part of property of Yangiyul Ginnery, the enterprise on production of polyethylene terephthalate ribbons and soft polyethylene containers will be created and it will start production of these goods from the first quarter of 2013.

Before the launch of the enterprise, China’s Nantong Yufeng Plastic Packing Co., Ltd will deliver 2.3 million units of materials and equipment for packing of cotton-fiber bales for US$13.226 million in line with the agreement of Uzprommashimpeks. The goods will be delivered from November 2012 to January 2013.

According to the resolution, Uzpakhtasanoat Association in cooperation with Pakhtasanoat Olmiy Markaz conducted complex works on search, test and optimization of parameters of packing materials of local and foreign producers.

The document said that positive results were received at testing of packing materials of Nantong Yufeng Plastic Packing Co., Ltd and completed works on localization of goods in Uzbekistan.
