Uzbekistan to simplify the system of voluntary payment of applied penalties

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – President of Uzbekistan signed a resolution to simplify the system of voluntary payment of a fine applied for administrative offenses is further simplified. The new procedure, under which it will be possible to pay half the amount when paying fines, will come into force on 1 May  2023.

From 1 May 2023, Uzbekistan will simplify the system of voluntary payment of applied penalties for violation of traffic rules. This is stated in the resolution of the President.

According to the amendments, in case of voluntary payment, the offender is exempted from paying the remaining part of the fine if he voluntarily paid 50% of the amount of the fine within 15 days from the date of delivery of the decision to impose a fine to him, and also if he paid 70% of the fine within 30 days.

In this version of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, the exemption from paying 30% of the amount of the fine is valid for 15 days.

At the same time, the President instructed to ensure automatic display in the Unified Information System "Electronic Criminal Law Statistics" of information about:

- voluntarily paid fines, consideration in courts of materials related to the resolution of issues arising in the execution of court decisions through the mutual integration of information systems of the Supreme Court and the Ministry of Internal Affairs;

- collected fines through mutual integration of information systems of the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement and the Ministry of Internal Affairs;

- persons removed from the probation register, by mutual integration of the Electronic Base "Probation Registration" and the Unified Information System "Electronic Criminal Law Statistics".

This procedure also applies to fines imposed by court decisions.
