Uzbekistan to sell locally-made tablet computers
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Sales of locally made tablet computers will be started in Uzbekistan in the third quarter of 2013. Uzmobile branch of Uzbektelecom will realize OlivePadV-T300 tablet computers in the Uzbek market.

According to the press service of Uzbektelecom, an Uzbek-Indian joint venture OliveTelecom launched production of tablet computers in Navoi free industrial and economic zone.

The joint venture manufactures OlivePadV-T300 tablet computer. The tablet has 1 Ghz processor and works under Android 4.0 (Ice-cream Sandwich) operating system.

The display resolution makes up 480x800 pixels and its size 188 mm or 7 inches. The tablet has 0.3 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, USB 2.0, Earphone Jack.

The memory of the tablet is 4Gb, which can be extended up to 32 Gb. The power of battery makes up 3600 mAh.

Uzmobile branch of Uzbektelecom will sell OlivePadV-T300 tablet computers. The price of the tablet is 375,000 soums.

Olive Telecom JV specializes in manufacturing of telecommunication equipment, including mobile and fixed terminals, and tablet PCs.

The founders of Olive Telecom JV are Uzbektelecom Joint Stock Company and Olive Telecommunication Pvt. Ltd. (India). Production is organized in Navoi free industrial and economic zone.

Currently, the joint venture produces mobile and fixed phones for CDMA-networks, tablet computers and USB-modems.
