Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan will establish transport service to schools in remote areas in accordance with the Development Strategy until 2030. This was reported by the Development Strategy Center.

The development strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026 included plans to provide transport links to schools and preschool institutions in remote areas of the country. On 29 December, the President of Uzbekistan signed a decree that excluded this item from the Development Strategy.

The Development Strategy Center in its statement notes that the organization of free buses for students of 715 secondary schools in remote and hard-to-reach areas is also envisaged in the new strategy - “Uzbekistan-2030”. The new strategy was in September 2023.

According to plans, this year the number of schools provided with free buses should be 100. The strategy does not mention the provision of buses to preschool institutions.
