Uzbekistan to open sale of cash dollars in few months

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Commercial banks of Uzbekistan will sell cash currency in next few months, the first deputy chairman of the Central Bank, Timur Ishmetov said on 14 September 2017.

He noted that this issue is on the agenda of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan and the regulator will implement this issue stage by stage.

At the same time, he did not name the exact date the beginning of sales of cash currency. “I think it’s about several months, a more precise date will depend on the situation,” Ishmetov said.
