Economy 10/07/2007 Uzbekistan to join Russia aircraft corporation

The Tashkent Aircraft Industry Corporation will join the Unified Aircraft Industry Corporation, Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov said on Monday.

"The Uzbek side agreed to joining the Unified Aircraft Industry Corporation," he said.

The Tashkent corporation will manufacture components for transport planes Il-76 and turboprop Il-114, ITAR-TASS reported.
