Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan will issue banknotes in denominations of 2,000 (two thousand) soums and 20,000 (twenty thousand) soums. This was reported by the press service of the Senate of Uzbekistan.

Kengash of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis adopted a Resolution on the approval of samples and designs of banknotes of 2,000 (two thousand) soums and 20,000 (twenty thousand) soums presented by the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Descriptions and designs of these banknotes will be published by the Central Bank in the appropriate order.
