On 19 January, the session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan was held in Tashkent, which discussed social-economic development of Uzbekistan in 2011 and important priorities of economic programmes for 2012.
Islam Karimov said that implementation of the programme on construction of individual houses in rural areas on standard projects remains as important priority in 2012.
He said that in last two years, some 15,000 rural families received new houses within the programme on construction of individual houses in rural areas.
Uzbek leader stated that some 7,400 individual houses with the total area of 1.1 million square meters were constricted in 2011 and about 576 billion soums were invested, of which 63% of them were resources of centralized sources and own capital of Qishloq Qurilish Bank.
He said that it is planned to construct 8,510 individual houses with total areas of 1.2 million square meters in 2012.
Uzbek President said that it is planned to use about 810 billion soums of capital investments in 2012. Overall, it is planned to direct about US$2.2 billion to construction of houses in rural areas by 2015.
Islam Karimov underlined that the Asian Development Bank is actively participating in the project and invests US$500 million, of which will be used US$160 million in 2012.
