The index, which is developed on the bases of methodology of Business Activity Index, will be directed to evaluate and monitor current state in innovation activity in the large companies of industrial sector of Uzbekistan.

NIAI will be developed on the basis of monitoring and evaluation of parameters, which effectively reflect innovative activity of the enterprises like expenses to scientific-research and experimental development works.

New index will help to determine the most dynamic developing branches of industry and it should serve as one of the main components in development of national strategy on development of innovation policy of Uzbekistan.
