Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – During the latest plenary session of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, a bill was discussed in detail in its second reading, proposing amendments to the Administrative Liability Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
This bill introduces administrative liability for offenses committed while operating small electric vehicles and individual vehicles.
Additionally, if a decision on a situation captured by photo or video recording devices is not made within specified deadlines, amendments are proposed that do not entail legal consequences.
Specifically, the bill envisages the termination of cases where traffic violations are recorded by automated photo or video recording devices but information about the vehicle owner is absent. Moreover, if information about the violation is not forwarded to the authorized person within 48 hours from the time of recording, the case will also be terminated.
The bill establishes procedures for terminating administrative cases related to violations committed by emergency medical service vehicles and firefighting units to avoid excessive bureaucracy.
The adoption of this bill aims to effectively protect the lawful interests of citizens by ensuring compliance with traffic rules, preventing road traffic incidents, and enhancing road safety.
During the session, the bill was adopted in its third reading.
