Uzbekyengilsanoat (Uzbek Light Industry) state joint stock company developed a programme on developing textile and light industry for 2010-2015, which united these projects.

The implementation of the programme will allow Uzbekistan to increase internal cotton-fiber processing up to 80% by 2016 and raise cotton exports by three times to US$1.8 billion.

Currently, Uzbekistan attracted investments for over US$1.3 billion to textile industry of the country. Today, Uzbekistan possesses capacities on production of 360,000 tonnes of cotton yarn, 210 million square meters of cotton fabrics, 90,000 tonnes of stockinet, 200 million units of garments and 60 million pairs of hosiery.
