Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador of Uzbekistan Abat Fayzullaev met with the head of the National Confederation of Craftsmen, Small and Medium-sized Businesses of Italy “CNA”, president of the association “CNA Federmoda” Antonio Franceschini, Dunyo news agency reported.

The parties discussed the prospects for establishing and developing cooperation between business entities in the fields of light industry, fashion and design, introducing Italian experience into the industry of Uzbekistan in these areas.

The head of the embassy informed about the development of the domestic light industry, furniture industry, fashion and design, and export opportunities of the republic. There was great interest in foreign experience in the fields of textiles, leather and footwear production.

The need to diversify trade relations was emphasized, in connection with which the Italian side is interested in establishing and developing cooperation with Uzbekistan in the field of small and medium-sized businesses.

Taking into account the current promising areas of cooperation, as a first step, it was decided to carry out a visit of specialists from CNA member companies to Uzbekistan and organize seminars for industry specialists.

As the next stage of cooperation, the issue of creating an Uzbek-Italian fashion and design center in our country will be worked out.
