The decision to give the hosting rights to the Central Asian country, which organised the 2008 edition too, was taken by the AFC Competitions Committee on Thursday under the chairmanship of Manilal Fernando.
The AFC U-16 Championship will be held from October 24 to November 7, 2010.
Opening the second meeting of the AFC Competitions Committee this year, AFC President Mohamed Bin Hammam praised the committee for its efforts in the successful organisation of tournaments.
“The inaugural AFC Futsal Club Championship in Iran was tremendously successful as we witnessed almost a full-house on all days while AFC Challenge Cup in Colombo showcased Sri Lanka’s excellent organisational capabilities,” he said.
“Our flagship club competition AFC Champions League is going from strength to strength and I hope this year will see more progress.”
