Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential resolution “On measures to raise youth involvement in mass sports in mahallas to a new stage” was adopted.
The resolution defines the main directions for the development of mass sports.
In particular, family sports are encouraged, mass sports events are organized.
From 2022, annually on 30 June - on the Day of Youth of the Republic of Uzbekistan and within the framework of the "Youth Forum", which is held in December, 5-stage mass sports competitions in football, mini-football, volleyball, athletics, chess, checkers, table tennis, streetball, workout will be held:
at the first stage - inter-street competitions in mahallas;
at the second stage - intermahalla competitions in sectors;
at the third stage - district (city) competitions among makhalla teams that became winners of competitions in sectors;
at the fourth stage - regional competitions among mahalla teams that became winners of district (city) competitions;
at the fifth stage - republican (final) competitions among makhalla teams that became winners of regional competitions.
These competitions will be held as part of the 5-stage "Olympiad of Five Initiatives".
From 1 March 2023, 3-stage nationwide sports competitions in Olympic, non-Olympic and national sports will be held.
Teachers of physical culture of schools and coaches of physical culture and educational institutions who have prepared the winners of the above competitions are not involved in the qualification certification and they are directly assigned the following qualification categories:
for the preparation of winners and prize-winners of the district (city) stages of the competition - the second qualification category;
for the preparation of winners and prize-winners of the regional stages of the competition - the first qualification category;
for the preparation of winners and prize-winners of the republican (final) stage of the competition - the highest qualification category.
