The document was adopted in order to expand participation of local business entities in national exhibitions and fairs of Uzbekistan abroad and international exhibitions and fairs to present their goods and sign export contracts.

The resolution said that the Cabinet of Ministers approved proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade, Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Finance on organization of national exhibitions-fairs of Uzbekistan abroad each year and ensure participation of local business entities in international exhibitions-fairs abroad.

In this connection, the government created inter-departmental working group on assisting organization of exhibition-fair activity abroad to local business entities, including presentation of export potential and singing export contracts.

The working group will coordinate measures, related to organization and holing national exhibitions-fairs of Uzbekistan abroad with participation of local businesses, producing competitive products.

The group will also assist local businesses, first of all small businesses, in preparation to the exhibitions and fairs abroad with organization of exposition, presentation of investment, production and export potential of industrial sector and signing export contracts.

The government said that the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade (MFERIT) is authorized body for organizing and holding exhibition-fair activities abroad.

MFERIT entrusted to submit list of national exhibitions-fairs of Uzbekistan and participation of businesses in exhibitions-fairs abroad each year by 10 November to the Government of Uzbekistan for approval.

MFERIT in cooperation with Uztadbirkorexport and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan will assist small and private businesses to hold advertisement events, organize their participantion in international exhibition, provide them information and consulting services.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the MFERIT with the foreign diplomatic missions in Uzbekistan will regularly work on use of preferential tariffs for participation of Uzbek businesses in international exhibitions-fairs and invite foreign companies to participate in national exhibitions-fairs of Uzbekistan abroad.

According to the resolutions, expenses of businesses entities in connection with participation in fairs and exhibitions, including held abroad, will be related to advertisement expenses and they will deducted from calculation of income tax of legal entities in line with the legislation.

Direction of International Industrial Fair and Cooperation Exchange under the MFERIT in cooperation with the Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan were entrusted to introduce mechanism on sales of local goods to export via Internet in online mode from 1 August 2012.

The document said that Uzbekistan Havo Yollari (Uzbekistan Airways) and Uzbekistan Temir Yollari (Uzbekistan Railways) in agreement with Ministry of Finance and MFERIT will provide preferential tariffs to local businesses, which attend the national exhibitions-fairs of Uzbekistan and international exhibitions, in transportation of exhibits.
