Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at a meeting on energy supply on 11 May, instructed to form a reserve of gasoline and diesel fuel in the country. This was announced by his press secretary Sherzod Asadov.

At the meeting, it was noted that restrictions on the import of gasoline and diesel fuel have been lifted in Uzbekistan. Domestic fuel production in 2022 amounted to 1.26 million tons of gasoline (+11.5% compared to 2021) and 800.1 thousand tons of diesel fuel (+5.9%).

To replenish the working capital of fuel importers, it is planned to allocate loans, it was said at the meeting.

The President noted that it is necessary to create an infrastructure in the regions for electric vehicles. Previously, a program was adopted to install 3.5 thousand chargers in the next three years and provide incentives to companies that install them.

The President instructed the khokims of the regions to ensure the installation of 900 chargers this year.
