Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of Uzbekistan issued a resolution “On organizational measures to ensure the obligations of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the framework of participation in the activities of the Group of Financial Intelligence Units “Egmont”.

The Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan is designated as a specially authorized body responsible for ensuring the obligations of Uzbekistan within the framework of participation in the activities of the Egmont Group.

The government instructed ministries and departments, as well as law enforcement agencies, to provide the Department with the necessary information to fulfill Uzbekistan’s obligations within the framework of its participation in the activities of the Egmont Group.

Specialists of ministries and departments can be involved as experts in the formation of delegations of Uzbekistan to participate in plenary sessions and other events held within the framework of the Egmont Group.
