Ministry for Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade organized the fair at support of Cotton Outlook Ltd., Uzpakhtasanoat and Sifat. Over 300 companies and 400 foreign partners from 34 countries are participating at the event.

Elyor Ganiev said that the internal cotton-fiber consumption will increase up to 300,000 tonnes and exports will decrease. Internal cotton-fiber consumption was 280,000 tonnes in 2007/2008.

Uzbek Minister said that Uzbekistan expects to produce 1 million tones of cotton-fiber from 2008 yield.
