Uzbekistan to construct 8,510 houses in rural areas in 2012
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan plans to construct 8,510 houses on improved standard projects for total sum of 905.9 billion soums in 2012. This was announced at the press conference of the Central Bank in Tashkent on 10 October 2012.

It is also planned that 535.4 billion soums will be allocated as soft mortgage loans due to resources of the Asian Development Bank and the centralized resources of the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan.

Currently, 834 organizations were selected for construction of houses in the result of seven stage selection. As of 1 October 2012, engineering company “Qishloq Qurilish Invest” issued 251.6 billion soums, including 183.5 billion soums due to preferential mortgage loans.

Uzbekistan attracts loan resources to improve life conditions of population in rural area and standards of their life.

For example, Uzbekistan attracted loans of the Asian Development Bank for US$500 million to finance construction of houses on standard projects in rural areas.

Currently, Uzbekistan actively works on using the first tranche of the ADB credit line for US$160 million.
