Uzbekistan to boost gas exports
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbekistan will increase its gas exports - most of which are to Russia - by 8% this year as new resources are developed, a top official with state energy firm Uzbekneftgaz said.
"Despite the ongoing financial crisis we will stick to our obligations," the company’s first deputy chairman, Shavkat Majidov, told reporters. "In the first quarter of this year we increased the volume of gas exports by 7% and we will maintain this dynamic."
