The draft law envisages to ban consumption of alcohol products in work places, medical establishments, cinemas, theatres, circus, concert halls, exhibition halls, sport complexes, in buildings of the state bodies and business entities, educational establishments, places designed for children and youth, as well as other public places.
The law also stipulates consumption of tobacco products outside places, designed for smoking, in educational establishments, places designed for children and youth, public transport and stations, medical establishments, trade objects, cinemas, theatres, circus, concert and exhibition halls, sport establishments, museums, libraries, buildings of state bodies, etc.
MPs noted that the law is another step in protecting health of population and upbringing of healthy and harmonically developed generation.
Earlier, Uzbekistan adopted a legislation, which banned advertisement of alcohol products of any strength, including beer, and tobacco products.
