Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan will abandon AI-80 gasoline from 2025.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov to resolve the issue of abandoning AI-80 gasoline from 2025.
Tashkent will develop specific mechanisms to reduce the environmental impact of heavy vehicles, vehicles older than 10 years, as well as the use of fuel below Euro-4.
According to the analysis, traffic jams negatively affect air quality. Compared to a moving car, cars stuck in traffic create more air pollution.
Therefore, work on the development of public transport will be accelerated.
It was noted that now when purchasing buses, more attention will be paid to their passenger capacity.
Measures will also be taken to increase the number of metro cars.
