In the result of project implementation, the company finished electrification last rail road of Tashkent regional railway junction with extension of 114 km. The project wrapped up electrification of all Tashkent regional railway junction.
Uzbekistan Temir Yollari said that it will commission all system in Tashkent-Angren line in the end of July 2010.
The project implementation will help to cut exploitation expenses by 1.8 times and improve ecological situation, as well as create jobs for 50 people.
The Uzbek railway operator attracted long-term credits of the government of Germany through KfW and government of Kuwait through Kuwait Arab Economic Development Fund to realization of the project with the cost of US$85.39 million.
The company underlined that Russia’s Mostovik supplied to metal bridge constructions, while consortium of CNTIC-EEB (China) carried out electrification and constricted contact network.
Consortium InterEng Messtechnik Dmbh - ZTE (Germany and China) constructed signalization and telecommunication, while Belam-Riga (Latvia) introduced SCADE system.
