Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  SITA, a global leader in air transport technology, has signed a partnership agreement with the Uzbekistan State Unitary Enterprise "Uzaeronavigation Center," the national provider of air navigation services. 

Under the seven-year collaboration, SITA will deliver advanced data transmission services for air traffic management, enhancing the aviation infrastructure at the Tashkent and Samarkand airports. 

As Uzbekistan’s air navigation services provider, the "Uzaeronavigation Center" is redefining operational processes by offering airlines functional and state-of-the-art technological solutions. With SITA’s innovations, data exchange between air traffic controllers and pilots—such as departure clearances, location reports, weather updates, and runway conditions—will be fully automated and digitized. 

This modernization will ensure higher-quality communication and navigation services. A key feature of the partnership is the shift to digital, non-verbal communication, which enables more reliable data exchange, particularly in remote areas with limited radar coverage. 

The partnership will also streamline air traffic management workflows by introducing a centralized Digital Automatic Terminal Information Service (D-ATIS) system for Tashkent and Samarkand airports. This intuitive interface consolidates information from multiple airports through a single data transmission channel, reducing operational costs and increasing system flexibility. 

By adopting SITA’s solutions, the "Uzaeronavigation Center" aligns with modern air traffic management standards, boosting airline efficiency and fostering the growth of Uzbekistan’s aviation industry. 

According to Yann Cabaret, CEO of SITA for Aircraft, “The volume of air traffic in Uzbekistan is growing rapidly. In 2022 alone, five new airlines were established, with more set to enter the market soon.
