Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the fortieth plenary session of the Senate, the Law "On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on cooperation in the use of airspace and airfields by state aviation aircraft in force majeure circumstances" was considered (Dushanbe, on 10 June 2021)".

It was noted that the main purpose of the Agreement is to determine a unified procedure for interaction in the field of the use of airspace and airfields by aircraft of state aviation in force majeure circumstances.

In accordance with the document, it is envisaged that the parties have the right to request permission for a short-term crossing of the airspace of the host state in the event of force majeure circumstances. Ratification of the document serves to further ensure flight safety.

The senators stressed that the ratification of the Agreement will be a logical continuation of constructive and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, which, of course, serves the interests of ensuring regional security, as well as the sustainable development of the entire Central Asian region.

Upon completion of the discussion, the Law was approved by the Senate.
