Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus in Uzbekistan, it was decided to temporarily suspend the operation of cash registers and exchange points in quarantine mode.

According to the Order of the Central Bank, from March 30, the work of cash desks, currency exchange offices and international money transfers located outside the bank’s building (with the exception of banking infrastructure located in the customs border zone and mobile cash desks established for the distribution of pensions and benefits to the population) will be suspended .

Customers of commercial banks are recommended to use the bank’s services remotely using the mobile applications of financial institutions.

From 20 March, 669 ATMs with automatic currency exchange have been working around the clock in the country. Their location can be found on the website of the Central Bank.
