“I want once again to underline that Uzbekistan always supported and will support searches of Turkmenistan on alternative ways of delivery of rich raw resources, including gas, which Turkmenistan possesses, and it is fully logical and natural intention of Turkmen people to make their country rich and prosperous. And I think that there should be no two opinions.”

Uzbek President Islam Karimov underlined: “Any political, any other limits or other barriers, I think on this way, are created artificially. In my opinion, it is necessary to hold negotiations patiently on this issue and we should assist to those directions to solve this task, which today offers Turkmenistan.”

“Especially, we in Uzbekistan, being the closest neighbor of Turkmenistan, clearly understand that realization of such projects is the most expedient and optimal way for country modernization and the most important for raising life standards of our population.”
