Azimov said: “We support further development of trade-economic relations, expansion of mutual supplies of industrial products, demanded in the markets of our states, forming favourable conditions for simulating mutual trade, as well as realizing other events in the sphere.”

He said that currently Uzbekistan in cooperation with its partners – China, Russia and neighboring states – Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan adopt concrete measures on developing trade-economic and investment cooperation, search of new opportunities and finding mutually accepted and beneficial solutions in these issues.

Uzbek First Deputy Prime Minister said that the countries should form markets of each other, stimulating mutual demand to products, manufactured in the member states, and create conditions to ensure their competitiveness in the markets of the SCO.

Uzbekistan is committed on expanding and deepening constant dialogue with all partners – member states and observers of the SCO at international and regional levels. He said that this is main locomotive for expansion of mutual beneficial trade-economic cooperation, he said.

Rustam Azimov said that it is important to expand investment partnership. Currently, the SCO member states adopt measures to reform and modernize economies. This requires attraction of additional financial resources and modern technologies and Uzbekistan actively cooperates with the partners, first of all China and Russia, he added.

He said that important strategic direction for Uzbekistan is realization of joint projects directed at opening huge transport-communication and transit potential of the SCO.

“Our region is global transcontinental transport corridor and we should effectively use existing opportunities, including on issues of developing transport communication via providing mutual preferences, realization of agreed and effective tariff policy,” he said.

Vice-Premier said that Uzbekistan supports development of economically sound transport and transit routes, effectively linking Central Asia through China and Russia with the markets of South-East and South Asia and Europe, including the initiative of China to build the Economic belt of the Silk Road.
