Uzbekistan studies the experience of Estonia in the field of e-government development

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Within the framework of the project "Assistance in increasing the potential of digital Uzbekistan", a delegation of the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications, headed by First Deputy Minister of ICT Oleg Pekos, visited the Republic of Estonia to exchange experience in the development and implementation of e-government.

The main purpose of the visit is to improve the place of the Republic of Uzbekistan in international rankings, improve the system for providing electronic public services, optimize the architecture and structure of electronic government, as well as increase the efficiency of digitalization projects as part of the Digital Uzbekistan 2030 strategy.

It should be noted that today Estonia is one of the leaders in Europe and in the world in the implementation and development of e-government. Currently, this country ranks third in the world in the e-government ranking.

During the visit, First Deputy Minister Oleg Pekos introduced the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan in the development of the digital economy, e-government and e-government services.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the Board of the Academy of e-Government, Executive Director H. Astok delivered a welcoming speech, who noted the importance of cooperation between the two countries in the development of e-government and the digital economy.
