Uzbekistan studies Hungary’s experience in improving national pharmaceutical market regulation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  A delegation from Uzbekistan, headed by Nozim Berdiev, Deputy Director of the Pharmaceutical Product Safety Center, visited Hungary to study the country’s experience in regulating the pharmaceutical market.

During the visit, Uzbek representatives met with Dr. Cecília Müller, Head of the Hungarian National Public Health and Pharmaceutical Center (NNGYK).

The meeting focused on potential areas for collaboration in the pharmaceutical sector, the implementation of joint projects, and the transfer of new technologies based on Hungary’s advanced pharmaceutical industry practices.

The discussion also covered the improvement of specialist qualifications and the enhancement of the national system for regulating dietary supplements in Uzbekistan.

NNGYK is one of Europe’s leading centers specializing in public health protection, ensuring the safety of medicines, and conducting scientific research. The center plays a significant role in healthcare development, assessing medicines and medical devices according to international standards and conducting epidemiological studies.

During the visit, the Uzbek delegation toured advanced NNGYK laboratories and became familiar with their working processes, technological solutions, and qualified staff training programs. These insights are expected to contribute to the improvement of Uzbekistan’s national pharmaceutical regulation system.
