Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has become the latest customer for the ANKA combat drone, produced by Turkish aerospace company TUSAŞ.

According to SavunmaSanayiST.com, a contract for the export of these drones has already been signed, with deliveries set to begin in the near future.

The ANKA is a single-engine unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) capable of staying airborne for up to 30 hours while carrying a payload of up to 350 kg. It is powered by an aviation-grade turbodiesel engine and is equipped with MAM-L munitions developed by Roketsan. Recently, the ANKA successfully conducted live-fire tests using the LUMTAS anti-tank missile.

TUSAŞ also produces the twin-engine AKSUNGUR drone, which can remain in the air for more than 50 hours and carry up to 750 kg of weaponry. Unlike the ANKA, it is capable of deploying heavier munitions such as TEBER, KGK, and KUZGUN.

The agreement between Uzbekistan and TUSAŞ marks a significant step in expanding military cooperation between the two nations and enhancing Uzbekistan’s defense capabilities through advanced unmanned technologies.
