Energy saving fluorescent lighting bulbs can work over 8,000 hours (up to 4 years, which exceeds work term of ordinary incandescent lamps by eight times. Fluorescent lighting bulbs consume 4-5 times less electricity compared to incandescent lamps.
Bakhodir Usmanov, director of the enterprise, said the first phase of the project was implemented within eight months. Equipments for US$2 million were purchased in China. All technological process was built on technologies of Philips and Osram. He added that high-technological production envisages test control in all areas, which guarantees products quality.
The enterprise plans to produce 2 million units of products in 2010. Currently, the enterprise produces four types of energy saving fluorescent lighting bulbs – 11, 15, 20 and 25 w.
After the second stage, the enterprise will increase production capacity to 4 million units. After expanding production potential, the venture plans to export part of its products.
Over 60% of spare parts and components are produced at the enterprise or purchased from local enterprises within industrial cooperation, UzA reported.
