Uzbekistan starts production of dry ice
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- New capacities on production of dry ice, which can replace mobile refrigerator, have been launched in Uzbekistan, local newspaper Pravda Vostoka reported.

The report said that Clean Ice LLC started to produce new products about a month ago.

Clean Ice receives carbonic acid gas from Maxam Chirchiq and in special equipment under high pressure transforms gas to solid state. Temperature of the carbonic acid gas is minus 78 degrees. This is dry ice, the paper said.

Final product is divided into ice granules in special equipment. The dry ice is not melting compared to ordinary ice, temperature of which is minus 38 degrees. The dry ice evaporates in long-contact with oxygen.

The dry ice can turn ordinary wagon or lorry, which transport food or ice cream, to refrigerators, while bag of travellers can become small refrigerator.

The capacity of the plant is 100 kg an hour. The plant delivered the first products to customers. The company plans to increase production once it receives orders. It also plans to produce dry ice in various sizes.

At the same time, Clean Ice plans to develop new direction – cryogenic blasting, which is used in cleaning various surfaces with dry ice granules. Some Uzbek companies use this technology in their production processes.
