Uzbekistan squad for Albania friendly
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan will be without four key players for their August 11 friendly against Albania in their build-up to the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2011™.

Coach Vadim Abramov named a 19-member squad for the match without former AFC Player of the Year Server Djeparov, who recently joined Korea Republic’s FC Seoul on loan, striker Maksim Shatskikh (Arsenal, Ukraine), midfielder Jasur Hasanov (Lakhoya, Qatar) and Vitaly Denisov (Dnipro, Ukraine).

Abramov went to Russia and Ukraine to watch his players in the league games but decided to include Rubin Kazan (Russia) midfielder Vagiz Galiulin as the only foreign-based player in the team.

Abramov took over the reins of the national team from Mirdjalal Kasimov in April but his charges lost 3-1 to Armenia in the first match under him in May.

The Central Asians will clash with Russian giants Locomotive Moscow in Moscow on September 3 and will meet Estonia on September 7.

The Uzbeks are scheduled to take on Qatar in the opening match of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2011™ Finals on January 7 next year. They also face Kuwait and China.
