Uzbekistan, South Korea expand cooperation on introduction of modern technologies in tax sector

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the Scientific Information Center of New Technologies under the State Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan visits the Republic of Korea.

Members of the delegation are becoming acquainted with the best practices in implementation of modern information technologies in tax administration, modernizing the data processing center and organizing co-working center activities.

The delegation visited Plan I company, the National Information Resources Service, Daejeon Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, Seoul Global Startup Center, as well as other organizations and agencies.

At the meeting held at the National Information Resources Service of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety of South Korea, representatives of Uzbekistan became familiar with activities of interdepartmental unified data processing center, the process of automating tax administration and ways to exchange information with other information systems.

Members of the delegation became interested in activities of the National Information Resources Service of the Republic of Korea. It contains information of 44 ministries and agencies. The service provides round the clock services to governing bodies and organizations. As a result, 30 TB of information is processed per day.

One of the new areas of activity of the service is the G-Cloud project. It meets modern requirements, certified, highly secure platform for collecting information, providing IaaS service.

Members of the delegation were given information about infrastructure and activity of co-working centers.

According to the Director of the Scientific Information Center of New Technologies under the State Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan Khayotjon Nasrullayev, as a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached on expanding cooperation in raising the skills of engineers and programmers, as well as taking into account the attraction of South Korean investments, on creation of co-working centers in Uzbekistan.

Representatives of the Republic of Korea expressed their desire to take part in international events in IT sector held in Uzbekistan, announced their readiness to provide full support in organizing internships and advanced training of specialists of the country.
