The Central Bank and the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution “On amendments and additions to the regulation on procedure for issuance by the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan of Permits to Individuals-Residents to export cash foreign currency outside the country”.

According to the decree, the Central Bank and its regional offices will issue permits for export of an amount exceeding the equivalent of US$5,000.

Previously, only the Central Bank had the right to grant permits for export of currency. Registration and issuance of permission is free.

From 1 January 2018, individuals are allowed to export cash foreign currency outside of Uzbekistan without any permits up to US$5,000.
