Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 27 December 2023, Uzbekistan signed several investment agreements on the implementation of large investment projects in the energy sector.

The documents were signed by the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov.

In particular, an investment agreement was signed between the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Masdar (UAE) on the construction of a wind power plant with a capacity of 2000 MW and energy storage facilities with a capacity of 1150 MW in Uzbekistan.

An agreement on the use of energy storage systems was also signed between Uzbekiston Milliy Elektrotaromoklari JSC and the Gedjoba Group.

An investment agreement on the use of energy storage systems in 8 regions of Uzbekistan was signed between the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade and the Gedjoba Group.
