Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has signed market access protocols with Brazil and Sri Lanka. This was announced by Aziz Urunov, the Special Representative of the President on WTO Accession, on his LinkedIn page.
Urnov noted that Uzbekistan has completed negotiations with Argentina regarding market access. Thus, the number of countries with which consultations have been successfully concluded has increased to 18.
“I am pleased to announce that we have agreed on all terms for the completion of bilateral market access negotiations with Argentina. We have now reached agreements with 18 countries, and this is just the beginning!” Urunov wrote.
Among the countries supporting Uzbekistan’s WTO accession bid are France, Italy, and Israel. Turkey has also expressed its readiness to provide technical assistance in this process.
