Uzbekistan signs loan agreements for US$700 million.

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and the Asian Development Bank signed loan agreements for US$600 million.

The documents were signed within the framework of the second Economic Forum in Samarkand.

In particular, the Ministry of Finance and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed a US$500 million loan agreement. ADB will also provide a US$3.3 million grant for the implementation of a climate-adapted water resources management project in the Aral Sea.

The Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services and the Public-Private Partnership Development Agency, as well as ADB, signed an agreement on cooperation in the framework of the project to modernize the Bukhara heat supply system.

Funds in the amount of US$100 million will be allocated for the implementation of this project. The project will be implemented with the consulting support of ADB.

The Ministry of Finance and the International Islamic Trade and Finance Corporation (ITFC) signed a US$100 million loan agreement as part of a budget support project.
