Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, participated in the third meeting of the Working Group on increasing trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Russia. During the online meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in trade, industry, energy, transport, and agriculture.
Over the first ten months of 2024, trade turnover between the two countries grew by 20%, reaching US$9.7 billion. Uzbekistan’s export portfolio expanded with 68 new product categories.
The participants reviewed the progress of the joint Action Plan aimed at increasing trade turnover to US$30 billion by 2030. They emphasized the need to develop a comprehensive framework encompassing industrial production, transportation, and the agro-industrial sector.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing multifaceted cooperation and agreed to hold the next session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation in Moscow by the end of the year.
