Uzbekistan, Russia hold political consultations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In accordance with the Program of cooperation between the ministries of foreign affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation for the current year the regular inter-ministerial consultations took place in Moscow on 10-12 September 2012.

The parties exchanged views on pressing issues of counteraction against international terrorism, illegal drug trafficking, transnational organized crime and other security challenges, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

The inventory of a treaty-legal base of Uzbek-Russian relations was also taken during the consultations.
