Uzbekistan - Russia: Fruitful cooperation between Uzbekistan Temir Yollari and Transmashholding

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting of representatives of the railway administration of Uzbekistan with the Russian delegation of Transmashholding was held at Uzbekistan Temir Yollari.

At the meeting, Kh. Khasilov noted that the partnership between Uzbekistan Temir Yollari and Transmashholding has been over 20 years old. The attendees were briefed on the results of cooperation and the implementation of major projects. Among the significant, as you know, is the supply to Uzbekistan, subordinated to the production enterprises of the Russian company, of seven main freight electric locomotives of the 3ES5K series and 45 units of subway cars for the Tashkent metro for a total of US$122.2 million.

"Transmashholding participated in the implementation of more than twelve projects in the Republic of Uzbekistan," says Kh. Khasilov. - Since 2017 alone, Uzbekistan Temir Yollari , together with Transmashholding , has implemented seven major projects. In particular, due to direct investments in the total amount of US$209.0 million, Transmashholding built a plant for the production of high-quality alcoholic beverages in Tashkent, a cable-stayed bridge was erected in the Navruz park, the construction of a multidisciplinary clinic in the city of Tashkent, in the current year, work has begun on the fuel-refueling complex (TZK) at the Tashkent-Vostochny airfield. As part of the implementation of the above projects, joint organizations were created.

It should also be noted that representatives of the Transmashholding joint-stock company took an active part in developing recommendations for the transformation of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari.
