Currently, Uzbekistan Red Crescent Society has 15 regional and 191 district departments, as well as 2,500 preliminary organizations.

Uzbekistan Red Crescent Society was founded in line with the presidential decree in 1992.

In 1995, Uzbekistan Red Crescent Society became a member of International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Society. Currently, National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies operate 188 countries.

International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Society marks its 150th anniversary on 8 May 2013. Uzbekistan Red Crescent Society is planning to hold several events to mark the occasion.
