Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The volume of money transfers to Uzbekistan in 2021 reached US$8.06 billion, according to a review of Uzbekistan's macroeconomic indicators for 2021, published by the Ministry of Finance.

The growth of incoming money transfers to Uzbekistan compared to 2020 amounted to 33.8%. Uzbekistan received US$6.02 billion in remittances in 2020.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the easing of anti-coronavirus restrictions and the restoration of the labor market resulted in an increase in the receipt of remittances.
