Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Medicines for hepatitis worth US$4.2 million will be brought from Egypt to Uzbekistan by the end of 2024. The Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan said this in a statement.
Egypt will supply 800,000 units of such drugs as Daclatasvir, Sofosbuvir and Entecavir to Uzbekistan. These medications are used in the treatment of hepatitis C and B.
The first batch, consisting of more than 6,720 units of the drug Sofosbuvir, has already arrived in Tashkent.
The medicines will be distributed to patients at the Virology Research Institute.
At the moment, the country has already received hepatitis drugs worth US$696,000.
