Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a law ratifying International Labour Organization (ILO) Convention No. 155 concerning occupational safety and health, as well as the working environment.
This Convention was adopted in Geneva on 22 June 1981.
To date, it has been ratified by 75 countries, including CIS nations such as Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan.
The Convention aims to tighten requirements for ensuring occupational safety and health during work activities and in the workplace.
It includes measures for preventing accidents and health risks faced by workers and employees both at the workplace and during the performance of their duties.
