Uzbekistan raises tax rate for fuel consumption
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of Uzbekistan will raise tax rate for individuals on gasoline consumption by almost 20.69% or 30 soums from 1 January 2011.

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov approved new tax rates for individuals on gasoline consumption with his resolution “On forecast of main macroeconomic figures and parameters of the state budget of Uzbekistan for 2011”.

In line with the document, the tax rate for individuals on gasoline consumption will grew from 145 soums to 175 soums.

As earlier reported, the prices for automobile fuel grew by 15% from 10 December 2010. One of liter of Ai-80 gasoline (including tax) increased from 1,220 soums to 1,405 soums, Ai-91 – 1,350 soums to 1,555 soums and Ai-95 – from 1,500 soums to 1,725 soums.

At that time, the Government of Uzbekistan decided to increase retail prices for automobile gasoline and diesel fuel.
