Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 15 May, Uzbekistan Railways increases the ticket prices for Afrosiyob high-speed electric trains.

According to the new tariffs, the cost of travel in economy class has increased by 20%, in business class - by 30%, and in VIP - by 40%.

The company attributed the increase in tariffs to rising electricity and fuel costs, as well as logistics and transportation costs. In addition, the price increase is associated with the renewal of the fleet of passenger cars, the purchase of new electric trains and the maintenance of railway stations.

New tariffs for Afrosiyob:

- Tashkent – Bukhara:
- VIP – 890 thousand soums;
- Business – 600 thousand soums;
- Economy – 403 thousand soums.

- Tashkent - Karshi:
- VIP – 747 thousand soums;
- Business – 507 thousand soums;
- Economy – 338 thousand soums.

- Tashkent – Samarkand:
- VIP – 554 thousand soums;
- Business – 358 thousand soums;
- Economy – 244 thousand soums.
