At the same time production of food goods rose by 14.2% to 4.65 trillion soums in January-September, the committee said.

Uzbekistan produced non-food products for 5.918 trillion soums in nine months of 2011, which increased by 9.4% year-on-year.

The country increased car output (+3.2%), children bicycles (1.6 times), hoisory (1.9 times), medicaments (1.6 times), notebooks (2.6 times), flour (by 28.4%), cereals (3.5 times), margarine products (1.7 times) and others.

To expand production of consumer goods, the commercial banks of Uzbekistan allocated loans to producers to buy technologies, raw materials at the size of 1.194 trillion soums, including 590.2 billion soums (1.4 times) for production of good products and 603.8 billion soums (1.7 times) for non-food products.

Within the programme on increasing industrial potential of regions, some 740 projects on production of consumer goods (107.6% to forecast) in nine months of 2011, of which 399 projects (105.6%) on production of food products and 341 projects (108.6%) on production of non-food goods.
