Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In 2023, 395,830 passenger cars were produced in Uzbekistan, which is 25.9% more than the same period in 2022. This was stated by the Statistics Agency of Uzbekistan.
In particular, in January-December 2023, 118,093 Cobalt cars were produced (the growth rate compared to the same period in 2022 increased by 16.2%), 82,133 were Gentra (a decrease of 5.7%), 546 were Spark (a decrease by 96.2%), 89,154 – Damas (up 23.4%), 48,082 – Tracker (up 5.3%) and 30,596 – Onix.
According to the Statistics Agency, Chery produced 9,829 cars in Uzbekistan in 2023, which is 23.3 times more compared to the same period in 2022.
KIA increased car production by 2.5 times in 2023 compared to 2022 – to 15,036 units.
In 2023, 91 Exeed cars and 134 Haval cars were produced in Uzbekistan.
Also last year, 25,586 specialized passenger cars were produced in the country (an increase of 22.2%).
